We got on the Safari bus early to get to the ferry dock in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. There we had to fill out custom forms and show our passports to go to Tortola, the largest and most populated of the British Virgin Islands. It was a 50 minute ferry ride and very scenic.
We arrived in Road Town, Tortola at 9:30, went through customs, and got a Safari Taxi to take us to parts of the island.
The ride went through the downtown area, through the countryside past homes of the local folks, and up, up, up the narrow, winding mountain roads to the panoramic views.

When we returned to the town area, we went to Midtown restaurant to try some local food, at the recommendation of our tour guide. Service was SLOW, but food was good.
